Adding load columns and RPM rows to maps
Why don'y you make a section with the tables that need to be edited to switch between load based/PSI based conversion, then have one section with the tables scaled for load and another section scaled for PSI? That's what I do so I don't need to rescale anything in the tables, just edit the settings so the ECU reads the MAP instead of load.

if someone takes the time to make 96530706 work as smoothly as 94170015 does now, i'm all for it. i certainly don't have the patience or time to have to f*ck with every 96530706 rom to make the end user happy with his tune. As much as everyone who obviously doesnt own an evo8 would like to assume, 96530006 has flaws. I understand the concept of less rom's to mod, i just feel the 94170015 is more stable....currently. Personally, i'd love one rom for 8's and one rom for 9's. Unfortunately, the rom everyone chose for the 8's can be sooo difficult to work with at times. The 94170015 rom only had a knock sensor sensativity issue with modded evo's but once we found the knock multiplier tables the issue was no more. Hopefully we can have the same happen for the 9653 rom soon.
probably because people are being forced to, with the elimination of 94170015 with current mods. They are just showing their concern since they will have little choice unfortunately. I always had those issues but never used it because 94170015 was available and extremely stable and reliable.
supposedly money isn't a motivator, but if you were to incorporate 94170015 into the list of fully supported roms, i am quite certain that fundage will readily come available.
Those of us with the first us evos have enjoyed this rom with nearly no issues. The edm rom seems to have issues on usdm cars.
i realize the need to have as few roms as possible to aid in the haste of which they can be supported, but the differences between edm and usdm are too vast to not have seperation.
(goes on knees with hands clasped looking up with puppy dog eyes and pouty lips)
p, p, please make the 94170015 fully supported.

Up to this point I hadn't seen any real definitions on it, so I pretty much ASSumed that it wasn't incorporated into the rom, similar to the 0008's.
I'll play around more on my car with the 96530006 rom and see how it reacts. I just have more familiarity with the 0015 rom is all.

As I dont use alt maps or ECU boost control, Im still running Tephra original NLTS+cel on knock+valet ROM (96420008).
I really would like to use the new bigger maps feature though, but dont wanna deal with 9653. I dont even wanna configure it to work. I would like a USDM ROM as I just like a more simple and stable approach.
*Also a lil side not, it you did a 9417 ROW, we could use it in place of the 9653 AND the 9694, and completely ELIMINATE the throttle hang problem for all EVO VIIIs

I guarentee the issues most of you are seeing with wrong data in the wrong place is XML definition issues.
When tephra posts the v7 both of us agreed that I will get the second post for the USDM conversion 9653 ROM. I have created three versions which include all XML's and information needed. They are noted below:
Download 1:
1. Bone stock ROM with USDM immob. fixed
Download 2:
1. Immob. fixed to work on USDM cars
2. mrfred psi based boost implemented (just edit Tephra's gear dependant map)
3. OBD II Inspection ready for EVAP and EGR
4. Disabled EGR, EVAP, and Idle Tests
5. Disabled P0300 code
6. Disabled lean spool
7. Disabled boost cut
8. Disabled boost delay cut
9. Fixed throttle hang under partial throttle (this fix worked for my car, might not on others)
Downloads 3:
1. Everything that Download 2 has with Speed Density Implemented
That is what I will be posting once Tephra gives me the OK to post up!
That should make most issues and problems go away once everyone is running the same ROM and have all the same XML's.

Either way. I like your idea, great idea to make it easy for USDM cars to use 9653.
**I would maybe not do #9 for download two. Since we havent found the exact fix. just a suggestion

Here is a snapshot of how I have my 96530006 XML setup for MrFred's PSI based boost. I made a copy of those tables and have them scaled for load and give them their own category. The load tables are technically already loaded in the evo9base XML but I prefer to simplify the organization by making my own section that easier to read/follow. This way when I open someone else's ROM, I can see whether they are running PSI based boost control or LOAD based boost control quite easily without editing all of my scaling if I convert them.
