it depends on ur cable.
you need openport 2.0 cable for ecuflash 1.42 and up.
openport 1.3M cable with ecuflash 1.3X
and openport cable 1.3U for ecuflash 1.41.
i have versions 1.34 and 1.41 if u like.

I tried the "install old Ecuflash + old drivers" then "install new Ecuflash" and mine still did not work. So I'm stuck with the old Ecuflash until I buy a new cable.

ok I found the fix.
THANKS TO "fostytou" on the forums. I will just reiterate what he wrote:
Lets say you have 1.3u cable and you are trying to use ecuflash 1.42v
1. Go to your main screen, "right click" on my computer go to the tab that says "hardware" . click on "device manager"
2. In device manager go to the top tap "view" under there you will see "show hidden devices"
Now remove all instances of openport and 1.3 (there should be a few)
3.-RESTART
4. Now go into" C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\drivers " Now download the ecuflash 1.42v file into this folder and run it from this folder.
5. -optionally restart (why not?)
6. Plug in the cable , "found new hardware " will show. click on either one of the " Yes..." and follow through..when it is done updated WAAAALLLAAAA should work!!
Hope that helped
