hehe.

anyway something i was talking to burnsy about, auto tune of the fuel maps. the question is with interpolation of by the ecu... does anyone know how exactly does it work.

i mean if the load cells were like 20,40,60 then does someone know exactly what value load has to before it trips to the next cell.
eg 42 will definately be in 40
48 would be in 40 too
but 50, 52, 54... so on what formula does ecu use to say ok now its time to check the values from the next cell. i have noticed it about 70ish% that it goes to the next cell.

its averaged.

so if you have 12:1 @ 3000rpm/120load and 11:1 @ 3000/130load AND you were at 129load then you would get 10% of 12:1 + 90% of 11:1

you are probably seeing 70%ish because of the different loads being used..

but then it should look at the cells before it too... ie 110load... also the 2 or 3 cells above and below as well for rpm.. ie 2500rpm and maybe 3500rpm.... that would complicate the logic

does it look at three or just two like in the example u gave.

no only the cells it is in...

i am not sure if it does load and then rpm, or rpm then load... it probably doesn't matter *exactly*

It does bi-linear interpolation over 4 cells and not bi-cubic interpolation over 9 cells?

I was going to write up some matlab code and am pretty sure it's just bi-linear, but I figured I'd ask since there is talk about it.

Ok I few questions since I got to working with it tonight. Im using the default xml settings so bare with me. Knock is set at 1 and not 0, why? Also load just says the multiply example 1.3... do I need to setup load then in some other way.

Wideband was showing up at 8:1, I haven't checked what MUT its coming off but its rather odd.

damn didnt notice that mate... its the xml that has the wrong info... i will fix it on the server. thanks for pointing it out

basically on the settings screen, goto requests tab. there u will have the listing. in the evaluation function for knock change it from 1 or x. in the load change it from 1.3 to 1.3*x unless ur multiplier in ecuflash is something different.

I just wish someone puts this on 88590715 because I don't have the mapswitch circuit made. Don't you need it to switch to alt maps on v5.10 with the little circuit?

The ROM image you downloaded is l2r99gst's ROM. You might want to ask him.

Huge thanks to ziad, jcsbanks and anyone else involved in either version of this software. I've been screwing with speed density for a solid month with little success as I have almost no time to sit in the car flashing and reflashing (work, school, son and a newborn). I could barely get it to idle and was about to give up for a while. One hour using livemap and my RPM VE maps are perfect. It idles better than ever even with fouled plugs and light cruising is phenomenal. Awesome job guys.

Sorry to bring this thread to crushing levels of noob but I have a few questions just trying to get it running. Thanks in advance

1. What is ".net" that allows this to run on XP and where do I get it?

2. when I unzip into a folder I see a folder labeled "2003 deploy", in that folder I see EvoLiveMap.exe, a folder labeled "ecudef", settings.xml. Without an installer program where do I put the (I'm guessing, settings.xml) ? In Ecuflash and evo scan the installer made a folder under program files for the xml.

3.What folder do the xml files in the ecudef go in?/ What is Zedgragh.dll and where does it go?

Perhaps if I get through the 1st issue it will all be clear, but I've been running 965330706 now for a bit and havn't figured out the original DMA interface yet either
