Mouser also has the Evo8 pins: 1 @ .11$, 50 @ .09$

0xDEAD I'd be interested in the Evo8 plugs and big pin part numbers.
I've been thinking about making an extension harness and a Evo8/DSM ecu swap harness if the plugs aren't to expensive.

Ask and ye shall receive.

For the evo 8 (uses AMP/Tyco plugs compared to the JAE plugs used in evo 9 cars):

12 pin 917978-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=917978-1-ND
16 pin 917981-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=917981-1-ND
22 pin 917989-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=917989-1-ND
26 pin 917992-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=917992-1-ND

Small pins 175269-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=175269-1-ND
Large pins 175265-1 http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...me=175265-1-ND

That is what I came up with. Since I am dyslexic I usually screw up at least one thing when making a list this large, so double check my work and I am not accountable for wages lost if you order a $1.50 plug in error.

I would also like to mention that I make a conversion harness that allows you to plug an evo 8 ecu into a 1g DSM. I will usually just try to find a used boomslang patch harness or fields afc harness and use that for donar parts. Its cheaper and allready comes with pre made pins. I will then sacrifice a 1g ecu and steal the plug out of it, its easy to find bad 1g ecu's. Also if you can't find a patch harness you can just go to the junkyard and steal the plugs from any 1995-2005 4 cyl mitsubishi car, they all share the same plugs. If you need the ecu plugs side for a 2g/evo I have one from an old fields AFC harness that I stole the plugs off of. PM me if you need it.

Thank you very much. Didn't know the plugs were that cheap.

Some of them might not be in stock. For the evo 9 plugs I had to get digikey to order like 1000 of them which is the minimum order from the manufacturer. They now have them in stock for anybody who would like them. If I were you I'd try to order them from digikey and if they don't have them in stock order them so that we all know that they will have a good supply of them for years to come. Digikey is very good with the hobbyist and will deal with you well on the phone or with their online chat system.

The Evo 8 ECUs I've look at are 3 plugs (not 4). That image BarryC post is exactly like my E7 though.

None of the dsm-zine.com links work.

Where is everyone getting their plugs for Evo 8 ecu? Also what wires are you guys using? Im building a new wire harness and was thinking of using mil-spec stuff.

Digikey has IX pins in stock; check Newark or Mouser as well for plugs.

Nice. I've been worried that J_o_T had the only supply of Evo IX pins in existence.
