Okay. I know, I was just saying.

As Freddie stated...the 2k rev is MINOR. Other than that the car runs like a champ. I am just **** and want to solve everything all the time.
Okay. Sounds good.

I understand it may be minor but its not normal, so a fix sooner or later may be good.

To me it is normal, as I noticed the same behavior with the 96940011 rom... so when Applaudd brought it up I was wondering what he was talking about

Do other ROM hacks work with V7? For example I am using the REAR O2 DELETE CODE found here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/6727392-post117.html & https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7302686-post267.html

I would like to run V7 without a rear O2.... or does the simulator already allow you to remove the factory rear o2?

You should be able to use both of the patches, however I have an VIII, and still physically have my rear O2 installed,just using the O2 sensor simulator routine included in V7, so i am not familiar with the second patch for the rear O2. Is the patch you linked to totally remove the sensor (patches the routine & the heater)?

Yes the patch I am referencing does allows the user to remove the rear sensor completely. There's also a round of patches the present the correct OBD2 variables when queried even if the equipment has been removed.

I'm always nervous about adding "outside" patches to tephra's roms as it may unintentionally change an area of memory that affects something else.

One more question.... Cold start timing retard (for cat efficiency).... I'm using 1.42 and do not see this map? I was lead to believe this was separate from the overly hyped bit 9/11. I am not looking to disable EGR but instead simply get rid of the cold start timing reduction.

Yeah i have the OBD II radiness patch on mine...no problems.

The table that you are looking for is the percent low temp timing trim map. then just zero that table out...

Curious if anyone is having an issue where, when you let off the throttle, the rpm stick at about 100-300, and bog a little with 88590017 ?

I removed the rear 02 sensor by doing three things:

1) enable the rear o2 sim which is included in v7
2) disable the rear o2 heater check. Easy for 96530006, maybe easy for other roms, but I haven't looked around.
3) unplug the sensor at the passenger seat and remove.

d

EDIT: No DTC/CEL.

Okay thanks... its #2 that needs to be applied at the XML level to trick *** the DTC.

I'll try this tonight.

If you disable the rear O2 via periphery bits, then that also disables fuel trims from reading FYI.

I've never used the periphery bits.... just the code listed in my previous posts.

I am getting my ROM ready for PSI boost control. On the Global Boost Control, MUT8A and MUT8B show load and psi but don't include the hex code I need. Just has the 0x for both. The default is
MUT8A=DB6A
MUT8B=DA6B
Are these correct for setting up in PSI.

Sorry, I can't help you with any of this as I do not run ECU controlled boost...

Well I switched over to V7 tonight. Overall painless process.

EVO 9 - GM3PORT

1. I have a 2k rpm cold start that I never had before.
2. Very low idle when warm - lower than before
3. WGDC didn't follow along correctly or all the extra features are affecting the setting. Overall boost was lower with the new version.
4. Also not sure what to check to have an alt map via gas pedal sort of like valet on the previous versions.
