In my modified ROM it is, but tephra does not change the stock ROM settings at all except for what he implements into his "mods"

I do two things:

First I change the fuel (load) cut delay to 20000ms so it never looks at the load max, you will want to turn this back on to like 1000ms, which is stock if you want to use the boost/fuel cut.

Second, I max out the load on Fuel Cut to 319 which you would have to change to double load mod if you want enable this if you are above 319 load.

I don't recommend you leave it this way, I would fix it so it is tuned for your car's limit.

To be honest, I thought by using the "Fuel Cut Multiplier" I wouldn't hit fuel cut. I found out the other day that isn't the case.

I took your recommedations. Thank you.

Load was at 319. I just set the "Boost Cut Delay" to a bazillion... For some reason I was thinking, with mrfreds Fuel cut x2, I didn't need to increase the ms on the delay. I was confused... I'll test it tonight, I hope it was a false alarm. Thanks to you, and others who replied on the subject.

what is the correct way of disabling the rear o2 while leaving the fuel trim to be able to log? or would it have to just be turned on.

There is a patch out now for the VIIIs that will allow you to simulate the rear O2 and the heater circuit, which should allow the fuel trims to operate...
