Has no one else had these issues??

Right now, I want to log IAT through the fuel temperature input (pin #77) on an evo 8 ecu. I'm currently running the 96530706 - "v7 Option 4" rom. Is there a version of this rom out there that already has the patch in place? I already have the IAT in my car and wired up. I just need to figure out what I need to do from here so I can log it. I want to make sure everything is setup and working correctly before I start making the switch to SD.

tl;dr - I need a 96530706 rom setup to read IAT through the fuel temp input. Either premade or directions to patch.

it depends on what mods etc you have etc and what load you expect normally, i'd say change the fuel cut multiplier in the global fuel settings to 4D00 then change the Fuel Cut load x2 to around 250 go from there. if you have quite a few mods you might need to change to a higher valve

table error for non-continuous monitor availability patch?

Hey there,

Am porting over to V7 sometime this week.

In recompile's version of 88590715 I found that for "Non-continuous monitor availability patch part 2" that the default value is 0xEBFF instead of 0xEAFF. The note associated with the table states that 0xEAFF is the value required for forced PASS inspection. Also, in the thread for the standalone mod it is also listed as 0xEAFF

Is this an error in the table or is 0xEBFF the correct value to have in the table (if so, why?)

thanks,
Norman

Hi All

I'm running the 96532706 rom and all has been going fine, over the weekend I pulled the FGR system off the car, but now it seems to just almost want to crank when cold, sometimes I can catch it and get it to start straight away, but this morning it just kept cranking, I'd crank for about a 3-4 seconds with it not starting then wait for about 30 secs and try again, it would almost start but then it would be the same, I was going to adjust the IPW cranking values to lower ones to see if that helps, but as it was fine before removing the EGR I was wondering if there was something else I need to do. I changed the periphery bits as per the guide.

Thanks
Andy

My car is a 2006 Evo IX MR ROM ID : 88590013. I would like to upgrade to v7, but don't see the appropriate ROM. Also, I will continue using MAF for now. Thanks!

How did you disable the egr system, via periphery bits, or the EGR disable routine?

Has anyone else noticed random hanging revs even after reaching operating temp? A few times now I've pegged the throttle, pushed in the clutch and or hit the brake right after but the rpms stay up for a second or so, kinda scary when you're in traffic and the car wants to keep going.

hi yeah I did both, this is the address I got for the egr
<table name="EGR System Enable/Disable" category="Emissions EGR" address="1041" type="1D" level="2" scaling="uint8"/>

I'm assuming this is correct for the v7 rom and that it's already patched??
I have this set to 0 assuming that means disable should it be 1?

Thanks
Andy
