I am in the process of getting my car tuned via E-mail I was just wondering how to download my current rom and send it?

 

Connect your tactix cable to your obd2 port and using ecuflash read the rom from the ecu. Im surprised whoever is doing your email tune didn't tell you this.

 

Ive tried doing that but when I try to open the file it says ecuflash cannot recognize this rom image, then it gives me 2 choices- abort using rom image or use wizard to create new definitions?

 

That means you dont have the correct definition files for your ROM, which is weird because you have an USDM 05

What version of ecuflash are you using?

Also, like someone else said, your email tuner should be helping you with these problems.
