ECU Load Based Boost Control Question

Hi Guys,
What I would like to know is - If Max Total Upward WGDC Correction Vs. TPS is zeroed out, would the ECU be able to add duty cycle if it is running below the set duty cycle?

Say at 3500rpm the ecu pulls duty cycle to prevent overboosting, but it pulls the duty cycle down too much, will the ecu be able to add duty cycle to bring it back up if the Max Total Upward WGDC COrrection Vs. TPS table is all 0?

Yes, it will add back WGDC *only* until it meets base WGDC and nothing more. This helps a ton with boost overshoots.

This idea works very well btw. I've been tuning the boost system like this for over two years now, on many circuit evos (which have crazy varied loads over a lap) with great success and consistancy.

Just make sure you have enough additive correction in the Error Correction map.

^^^Thanks man! How does this look for the Error correction table?

-20 0
-17.5 10
-15 8.5
-12.5 7
-10 5
-7.5 3.5
-5 2
-2.5 0
0 0
2.5 0
5 -2
7.5 -5
10.0 -8
12.5 -11
15.0 -14
17.5 -17
20 -20

What boost solenoid are you using?

I would put additive back in at -20 or the ecu will never add anything back in if the error stays at -20

I am using the Grimmspeed 3 port.

I will add in the error for -20.

Also what kind of correction interval for high and low do you think is best?

I would use smaller numbers for a 3 port and set WGDC Correction Interval to 2 or 1 .

Something like this:

9
8
7
6
5
4
3
2
0
-0.5
-1
-2
-3
-4
-5
-6
-7
