no worries
I can simply create new gauges

This may be completely dumb, but I'm new to evoscan/nav units, etc. But could I use a garmin nav unit to do this? I see the unit itself runs garmin software. I was thinking of buying the garmin nuvi and running this if possible?

yes, but you would have to have 10 years experience as embedded systems engineer to make it work. Do you have these skills?

Interesting.. I have a few questions:

1. What if I want wideband? I need to somehow connect an LC-1 to the stock ECU and then enable mode 23?

2. Can someone point me to the LC1 integration thread?

3. To avoid buying another cable, could I use the cobb AP cable with this? If not what EXACT cable do I need, the website is super confusing.

4. Does the Cobb AP enable mode 23?

5. To read SST temp, I see someone mentioning "JDM map", what does that mean? I'm in the US - can I read my SST temp?

Thanks!

This thread is about the Evoscan Navigator, if you have a Cobb AP post your questions here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ere-merge.html

Actually no, my questions are really about the evoscan.

I read in another thread that I couldn't use my AP cable with OpenECU, so i'm going to assume I can't use it with this device (it's proprietary). That answers question #3 for me. Kind of, the 2nd part of the question asked "what specific cable do I need" for this device. The website is confusing to me, there are several.

#2 I found it finally.

Still need Questions 1 and 5.

Thanks for the very useful reply.

To use the Evoscan Navigator, run Evoscan, Ecuflash, et al on the Evo X you need an OpenPort 2.0 cable: link.

1. You can port the wideband through the ECU, but most use the serial output (with a serial-USB adapter if needed) plugged into their laptop.

5. The JDM Map was mentioned because that particular member is in the middle east and has a JDM ECU I believe. I have Evoscan v2.7 beta 5 and it doesn't have the SST logging capability and I'm not sure if there a more recent version with that capacity. The full v2.7 should be out soon though; for more go here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ml#post8109420 The people you see above are logging with the Evoscan navigator which appears to be a little ahead of the laptop version of Evoscan.

No need to be salty, I was in fact trying to help you.

I plan on using the Navigator, not a laptop. This is why I was asking how to get a wideband into the unit itself, as it appears to only have a USB port that connects to a ECU cable. Where would I plug the serial connection to? Or do I have to connect it to the ECU and then log it?

I want to also see my SST temperature, can I do this with the navigator?

Thanks again..

I don't know how to log WB AFR with the Evoscan Navi (or if it's possible) without running it through the Rear O2 ECU input--maybe someone else can chime in about that.

I have a GSR so I haven't looked into the SST temperature logging, but from this post you should be able to. As soon as I get my firmware updated I'll be able to tell you more.
