FIC 2150cc notes
The magnafuel 625 protuner pump says "supports 1500 hp". Do you have any access to the flow vs pressure for this pump? I was wondering if it would max out the big boys I have now.

I dont happen to have the electric version, but the head is the same as the mechanical (they interchange them). It is rated at 5gpm on the 625 and 7 on the 750 at 100psi at 4000rpm pump speed. Magnafuel will allegedly tell you if you ask but they dont print it anywhere that I was able to find. I do know that if a 255 (1.1gpm) will support 600whp on gas without the pressure dropping, even if at the edge, that the one estimate I heard about the 625 flowing 1.9gpm at 12v at 75psi still seems low. I havent called Magnafuel personally to see where the truth is though

Wouldn't regular "E75" take less fuel then E75 cut with Q16 as Q16 requires more fuel system over gasoline due to the oxygenation of Q16? I know i have seen a decent increase in fuel need for Q16 over C16 for obvious reasons.... Not sure how it really compares with mixing Q16 to the crap gasoline they cut our out of the tank E85 with though... Which im sure right now is E70 due to winter blend being in full effect here.
Basically im trying to decide which way i need to go 1st with my fuel system. By looking at my fuel map i don't see the signs of losing fuel pressure ATM just running out of injector.... BUT i also haven't looked at the FP under a WOT pull yet to see for sure what its doing.....

FFP- My 66 Chevelle folder
It gets better the deeper you go, some are early pics I found after the initial build. 592hp/560 ftlbs on superflow engine stand dyno, yet to be determined on our DJ. 477" Rectangle port, airgap, 870 Holley (going to FI before too long), 2" ID headers, Eagle rotating assembly, MSD and Mallory ignition components, Comp 291/311 Hyd Roller, Roller lifters and rockers, Muncie M20 with Centerforce DF for a clutch. 396 and auto are in one corner of my garage staring in envy

I'll find the finished pix and upload them when I am home this weekend.

Look into the effects of mixing leaded fuel with ethanol.
It's not good.
If the fuel system is the limit, either upgrade the fuel system or use straight Q16. You are asking for trouble cutting ethanol with leaded race fuel.

I have read that before (like this: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/e85...race-fuel.html) but it doesnt seem to match tuning reality on the dyno. The lead doesnt stay concentrated in one area and then suddenly show up. You can extend the fuel system and see in the knock logs no significant change at a given timing value.
To be clear I do not promote it, we do not do it on a regular basis. It was a pinch move before a race to go out loaded for bear. However the car still ran the times we expected it too based on the power level. Perhaps there was some additional data that you had though? It would be good to have a seperate thread to cover this though.

I haven't personally tested it. Just some local SFWD guys tried it out and I believe found better results just using normal E85. I've got nothing to back it up though, just verbal conversation.

You are an evil evil man, mine is ging to be black with cherry red mettalic so under a light in the dark it will appear red. Small block angle plug heads, FI, twin PTE 6262 or BW s300's not sure yet, Tremec TKO viper spec, Quick change rear, Air tech suspension. Have to get on this thing but have to finish a 70 el camino and finish my pops 66 #matchin 4spd first. Had to sell my Dat 510 to get on the velle

I am thinking of using the F.A.S.T. throttle body and believe it or not (sarcasm) 4 FIC2150s on gas with a MS to control fuel and BTM (old honda project) for timing when/if it goes turbo. My dad is kicking the idea around still, he isnt sure if he has enough power or not already. If we do its looking like twin S400 at 8-10psi on pump w/ meth or a full switch to E85. The mileage is horrible already so it doesnt matter if it goes from 5 around town to 3 on Ethanol.
haha yup, this is a me and Dad project also lol. Damn s400's on it, i would never go that big you are shooting for straight 800-1000 E-85 with that kinda setup hahaha sounds awesome.
DAMN man, you aint joking around. Even at only 8-10lbs a 400 or 4788 is gonna friggin move some damn air. but you do have me thinking. I need to jump and get a set of these injectors for my car and just figure if i am going to run twin rails on my DI mani and a cell in the trunk or not but we are just chasin numbers so screw it
