Tephra V7 RPM/Speed to Gear Table

I have a couple of questions about the RPM/Speen to Gear Table.

For a 2003 Evo VIII I have put in the following values which come from this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...t-control.html

Name: rpm-speed.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 16.9 KB

For gear 6 should that be a zero (I have a 5 Speed)?

Why is the stock value for the "0" gear 2900. Should I change the 0 gear to something else?

Just noticed that the Boost Control High/Low Gear Range RPM/MPH Crossover table value is 2900. What value are people using for this table?

my gear ratios are just a mph or two less but generally they are close.
2900 is what came with my v7 and it seems to work on my car

Would leaving the Boost Control High/Low Gear Range RPM/MPH Crossover at 2900 (undefined?)affect the WGDC Correction interval (Low Gear Range) and High Gear correction intervals? Logically it would seem that it would only use the low gear range if it was 2900.

if you dont have a 6th gear then set to 0...

2900 is the value when you are not moving

the intervals still use the old crossover table

I have a 2004 evo 8 with 5 speed box and after some logging with evoscan (checking the RPM/speed ration against gear and actual drive) have put the following values into my table.
They work for me but that is not to say that all should be the same, the ecu snaps to the nearest value.

1 - 6
26 - 5
38 - 4
52 - 3
73 - 2
110 - 1
1802 - 0

What I meant was the stock value for this table (Boost Control High/Low Gear Range RPM/MPH Crossover) is 2900, effectively disabling the high and low correction interval times. I would suspect that it would default to the low gear value . I set mine the same as my 4th gear value. Tephra refers to it above as the old crossover table.

Just log and find out! Your car may be different and actually knowing the value is much better than guessing it.

The 0 gear number should be as close to infinite as possible, because XXX RPM / .00000000000000000001 (since 0 is out of bounds) is always a very large number.

I believe there is already a whole thread dedicated to this, if not a large grouping of posts in the v6 thread.

I did read the v6 stuff on this subject. I do understand the logging but I have seen various methods for dealing with these two tables. I do not think many are aware that they should change the crossover for low high gear table to get the high and low correction intervals to work.

As far as the logging of the RPM/speed for each gear, I believe the values that I have above are for the max that one can get for each gear (or close to it). Depending on where your rev limit is set (for some this is not working in V7 DANGEROUS!!!We should resolve this soon) and how far you go before you shift will change the theoretical numbers a bit (downward).

So for Gear 0 some are keeping 2900, some copying their Gear 1 value and who knows what else. For me I will take tephra's suggestion and keep the 2900. For gear 6 I will use 0 as master tephra has suggested. I am going to log and most likely revise my numbers for gears 1-5 downward a bit.
