Personally , i feel that the car runs lighter with 9653 than 9417.

I never got a p0121 , p0122 and low coolant temp codes in 9653.

here's my experience.
when using the MAF 9653 i got codes.
(the car came with an untouched 9417 rom.)
i then switched back to "stock" tuned rom. codes went away. then i flashed the 9417 v7 rom and didn't have codes. i am now on the 9653 SD 2.0 rom and theres NO codes. from what I found out from a few other members is that there is problems with some of the xml files that at some point were never updated and addressed.

maybe someone can chime in and explain. i understand peoples frustration since some of these threads, when looking for answers , are years old. also maybe a dev can update the sticky threads as well with confirmed good xml files and such.

i'm willing to lend a hand if i can help in any way.
Happy Holidays everyone!

You seem to have the ability currently to help rectify the issue. Post up your XML for people to have a comparison.

Happy holidays.

Are you running without issues on 9653 2.0? I tried it years back and it didn't seem to work properly?

I just flashed 9653 2D today in a JDM evo 8 and it worked fine . No codes .

But there is one common issue in all sd roms [ not sure about v1 ] i.e lean on start up.

Ill write again , on 9653 the car runs very light and crisp.

Happy holidays.

hey guys!
been a crazy new year so, i apologize for not getting back to you!
if anyone wants i can certainly give my xml to a few to try to see if it resolves some quirks. if i get some replys, i'll reply back and upload them with it!

i have since gone to the 94170715 sd 2.0 rom. i have jitter fix 3 on, and just have had nothing but great luck with it.
the 9653 was problematic for me, no matter how i tuned it, OR modified xml . i kept getting codes that yes i know i can disable, but i was hell bent on finding the real issue behind them. no matter what i tried, i had no success. so i went back to a fresh start and began tuning my 94170715.

what are you guys up to? and what versions(s) have you been using?

well I thought the fun was about to begin until now. I have downloaded and unziped the TephraMODv7-94170715. I put the TephraMODv7-94170715 rom in a separate ROM folder on my desktop along with my read only factory rom. I put the xml file TephraMOD-94170715-v7.xml in "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo"

Now I have no MUT table when I go into ecuflash and open tephra ROM. everything else is there on the left hand side scroll down. but there is no box to check to open the MUT table up. am I missing something here.

I went here and did this
https://evoecu.logic.net/wiki/Add_MUT_Table_To_EcuFlash

when I go into ecuflash and scroll down it has a MUT table but every row has "FFFF" they DO NOT alternate like the stock rom does.

so here is what I am confused in those directions it has me go into notepad and open up the tephra xml which is 941700715 and add the address "3f314" which is the address for my FACTORY rom 0011. now should that address be the same for tephra rom 0715 or will it have a different number to put in the "XXX" spot for the definition. hope that makes sense.

as of just now I removed tephrav7 completely restarted my computer many times in the last 4 days trying to figure this out. I redownloadedd tephra v7 this morning for my evo8 here http://www.tephra.it/v7/

why do I not have a MUT table in the tephra ROM its as if the MUT table is not defined in the xml...?

please don't say to try searching because I did or I wouldn't be posting this.
ive searched this forum and "Google" lol I'm coming up with nothing.

pictures of the ECUflash screenshot in my profile in albums with no MUT

apparently the tephra v7 download xml isn't up to date? maybe its my computer being retarded? idk I have windows 10 that's probably 99.9% of it..

I had to get the xml from another member because the correct xml didn't exist in the download. no my ecuflash verion is up to date as I just loaded it on here a few weeks ago.. everything I have is brand new within a month or so and I have removed and redownloaded those files with no luck.

so to answer my question above no all that is wrong. tephra v7 should have a mut table displayed at the bottom of the scrolldown metadata.

I am not sure on the software OS compatibility. But u can always try a clean Install. Reboot. And then see. Make sure u look in the settings and change user level to developer as well. I think that if your at lower levels it may not give u access to all tables. Just a few ideas.

software is not an issue and yes I ended up deleting and reinstalling everything. we think it was the file I downloaded from the link that didn't contain the entire or complete ROM or had troubles downloading the complete file.. I fixed this by biggiesacks sending me the correct xml with the right definitions. yes user level was set to developer from day 1. I appreciate it thank you sandman!! I'm past all that good stuff lol as it was a download issue somehow.

Packet loss can be a ***** hahah. Sometimes a corrupt download is a blessing in disguise. Glad it's working. How's your progress been. Haven't seen any activity on the thread in a while!

What jitter fixes has everyone been using. I have an 04 Evo , using fix #3 .

Try this one out. I do not believe it inherits anything from the EVO7Base. THis was the last ROM myself and Appuald put together back in 2012/13 or so, used up until 2016. Best free V7 Rom I knew of... Also, for the USDM EVO8 this is the best rom. 9653 was for the EUDM or Eurospec 8's. There are mechanical differences.

thanks Raceghost!
i'll tale a look at it! if you want i can upload my xml for you to compare. be aware mine is an SD 2.0 though. 94172715 . BUT it inherits 94170715.
only issues i'm having are with boost error correction. it's running great don't get me wrong, and not over boosting. but my boost error when i log is all over the place. i think i used mrfred's boost error table AFTER dialing in my main map wastegate duty cycle table. maybe my BEC values need to be lowered? my values are below. any input? or recommendations? i can upload other tables and xml as i have mentioned if anyone wants.
