SpoolinUp SD plug-n-play harness development
Didn't take much bugging to get Matt at SpoolinUp interested in applying his wiring skills towards making a plug-n-play harness for doing a speed density conversion. The prototype in the picture below connects to the MAF plug on the vehicle harness, and on the other end it plugs into a GM IAT. No more need to cut or splice into the vehicle harness or run wires from the ECU if you want to do SD.
Some of you know that "SD 2.0" is in development with one of the new features being the return of baro measurement to accommodate people who may have to drive over a wide range of altitudes. We are currently hunting down a baro sensor that SpoolinUp can offer as a plug-in or fully wired option to the harness.
I'll let Matt chime in on when he thinks he'll have a final product ready.

Awesome. I drive from sea level to 7,000+ feet weekly during the winter months, and is one of the main reasons I haven't converted my personal Evo to SD yet.

I took a camping trip with the evo back in October......1900ft to 9550, and the evo ran like crap over 6500ft. This was on a 94170015 SD ROM, btw.
I routinely go from 6,000-11,000ft altitude, and have been holding back from SD for 2 reasons...first being lack of baro compensation, and second, it's not nearly "plug and play" enough.

Oh nice he found the male adapter....Myself and 0xDEAD have been using every contact we have to try and find that male plug, what everyone was telling us was it didn't exist.
We both got spare male MAF plugs from the actual MAF (can be removed) and were going to build one of these - but this is freaking great.
Matt is the man and props to you mrfred for actually posting this idea in another thread and getting it rolling for everyone......

mrfred, I just saw this yesterday: tiny Baro sensor, and a breakout board for those of us who can't solder something smaller than our thumb.
The downside is that it's a serial device, so you'd need to add a micro to turn that into a 0-5V output, but every other barometric sensor I found at digikey was digital too. And did I mention it's tiny?

I hate splicing any stock wires, so I can't wait for this to get released.
