evoscan not logging wb02, please help!!
Hey everyone.
I have a lil situation here... I have Lc-1 wideband and i'm trying to get some logs with evoscan but after selecting external wb02 and the lc-1 wb then making sure that the lc-1 is selected in the wide band section i'm still reading 0 in external and 14's in lc-1. I'm using evoscan 2.6 beta as i have open 2.0 cable and also i'm using serial to usb port. at first the computer gives the usb port 11 or 12 but in the evoscan i can only choose port9 or port1 so i have changed the usb/lc-1 to port1 so the evoscan can read but still no luck.
I have tried logworks and everything works fine but not the evoscan.
Can please somebody help me with my problem?? am i doing something wrong here??
I'm using vista if that makes any difference.
thanks in advance.

marek, i dont know if you're trying to run logworks (with the lc-1 connected) at the same time as evoscan but if you are i dont think both programs can use the lc-1 at the same time (same com port). maybe thats why u have 0 reading in evoscan?
I've had a similar problem in the past. What I did was go into control panel/system open up the hardware tab and look at device manager. See what com port the LC1 is using in there then make sure that port is available and checked in EVOscan. I know it sounds obvious but I had an issue where the LC1 was using a port that EVOscan did not detect. It ended up being as simple as picking a different USB port. Are you using an RS232 to USB cable? It could also be the drivers for the adaptor. I'm also assuming you have the little end plugged into the input cable on the LC1 right? Mine won't output a signal if it's not plugged in. It could have worked it's way out maybe though thats unlikely. It's a firm fit.
sorry, didn't see you were using the open 2, so don't know what to say.
if it were the regular cable this would work...
just checking the external wb and making sure you have a port should do it.
do not check the lc-1 box.

so i went through all the connections again and as soon as i plug the RS232 to USB in my computer it recognise it as the right cable in com11. then i'd go to evoscan and to the wide band menu o try and select com11 for my wideband but evoscan doesnt diplay that com number so the only numbers i can select is com1 and com9 sometimes others will come. so for that i change my initial com11 for my cable to com1 so i can have the evoscan checked of as the same port.
now my connector is pluged in to the "in" cable from the lc-1 but i'm still unable to get this stupid evoscan to read my wideband.
I have tried logging with logworks and its all fine. everything else in evoscan is logging correctly but not the wb02.
have you guys got any more ideas???

having said that does anyone know why my LC1 is only giving me a value between 3-5 in evoscan but a perfect reading in logworks? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ge...rial-port.html

Try with a different uSB-serial cable, I had the issue before too, at the end, you have to get to bestbuy and get the belkin one... or something good, it didn't work with my $10 USB-serial cable.
ok i got it to work guys, all i did is un ticked everything in evo scan and only left the external wb ticked and it worked! Then just ticked all the items back that i needed and it still worked so really happy now as my tune can be sorted. Thanks heaps for all your input guys.
hi iam having a simaliar problem, I use a taxtrix 2.0 and having trouble geting a reading through evoscan im using a lm-2 serial 2.5mm patch cable, I get a reading of 0 and it says com port 1 does not exist ( I should be able to plug my mtx-l gauge kit into my tax trix cable with this sterio cable to get my readings trough evoscan)
Ive now got this all sorted.
