Speed Density - Wideband o2 Necessary?

I'm looking to have my car tuned with Speed Density here in the near future by GST and had a question regarding necessary hardware.

I plan on getting an EVO X 3 bar MAP Sensor and a GM IAT Sensor / Bung (3/8" NPT). Do I need a Wideband O2 Sensor as well?

I also plan on putting the IAT in my stock UICP, is that okay?

in my opinion yes. you can monitor your AFR all the time and also gives the tuner 2 widebands to read from when they hook up the one on the dyno. me personally a wbo2 is a must.

Just trying to make sure my expenses are justified before I make a purchase.

I don't cut corners so I'll probably be getting one.

Any recommendations?

i would get one, they arent all that expensive and its a great idea to always keep an eye on things. if something goes wrong it will definitely tell you. thats just my opinion though, i just like to be safe

IAT in the UICP is perfect.

Are the Wideband O2 and the EVO X 3 bar MAP Sensor plug and play?

I know the IAT sensor requires a bung to be welded into the UICP.

not sure. but if your getting a MAP sensor just get the omni 4bar for the evo 8/9 ''if you own a evo 8/9'' and be done with it.

the ait needs a bung yes.

Do the MAP sensor and Wideband need new bungs? I'm trying to find out how much welding and where I need to have it done.

Map sensor is a direct replacement for the factory mdp sensor.

Wideband O2 sensor needs a bung welded to the downpipe. Some do run it in the front or rear O2 locations, though. But, just get the bung welded in and be done with it.

if you have a evo 8 or 9 no you dont need a bung fr the MAP. . just take the stock one off and put the new ''preferably omni 4 bar'' on. its PNP.

the wideband yes you will need a bung welded into the down pipe. make sure it is no more then 2 to 2.5 feet from the turbo. its mostly a opinion based thing on where to put it but IMO between 1 foot and 2 feet is ideal.
