I'm going to try this first thing in the morning...

Latency -

4.69 - 3.000
7.03 - 1.512
9.38 - .936
11.72 - .672
14.06 - .504
16.41 - .384
18.68 - .384

Scaling I will start with 1624 to see if it will idle. If it will not idle then what do you think? Set it higher until it actually idles? Before with the wrong latency values it would idle with scaling at 1949 and 2249 just sit between 11.3 and 11.6. Thanks again for the help John, it's very much appreciated

So I got to run some tests.

When I put in your latency values John I can't get it to idle at all. It just dies out unless I hold on the throttle. The throttle response is all screwed up actually. It's like it is missing and there is no response at times. I set the scaling to 4 different values, 1400, 1600, 1900, 2249 (roughly, I know the values are a bit off because they're hex and it automatically sets them to something a bit higher/lower). None of those would let it idle right. I reset the ECU in between each flash.

I put in the old latency values and it fired right up and idles solid at 1k, just rich. Latency was 2249, still afr at idle was 11.3 or 11.6. There is no way you should have to go higher right?

Could the compressor cover boost leak be screwing things up so bad that it wouldn't idle with the correct latency values?

Thanks for all the help!
Matt

Whats the AFR doing? Lean or rich, can you keep it running if your foot is on the gas?

If I give it 50% throttle and hold it the car revs and drops down, revs and drops down, like the IAC is going out for example. I can't hold constant pressure and get it to stay running, I have to feather it as it hiccups and misses.

At 1624 scaling with your latency values the AFR at 50% throttle is in the 14's. I went to 100% throttle and the AFR was 14.9. The response was totally off like it dripped and hiccuped then it rev'd up but when it hit about 6k it was 14.9.

no it was a mystery map sensor. Thought it was an omni but there was no label, logo or any markings on the sensor. The OP ordered a omni and everything was fine

Another update...yesterday I reviewed the logs -

My tuner's original attempt yielded 10.8 to 11.6 AFR's for 10 minutes idling trying to watch the trims adjust with scaling at 1949 and his original latency settings.

When the trims and AFR's didn't change he tried swapping scaling to 2249.

This yielded 12.0 - 12.8 AFR's for 3 minutes then it dropped back to 11.3 to 11.6 so the scaling helped temporarily using his latency values again. I tried 2437 just for ****s and giggles yesterday afternoon and the AFR's didn't change at all so we decided that wasn't going to work and that we shouldn't have to go higher for sure.

He disabled the front o2 sensor just to see and also, no good results, it didn't idle right which told us the o2 sensor is fine.

Even you're stumped Aaron? Ugh

Next plan is to seal up the compressor cover to back plate today and let it cure for 24 hours then try it all over again *sigh* I guess I should be happy that after 2.5 years this is the first real major hiccup so yay...but boo

I would be curious to see the timing at the idle settings. Heck, even the rom for that matter.

I had a little bit of issues going to big injectors, but as soon as I put in e85, the car ran perfectly. Big injectors do not like to run at very low duty cycles.

What is your complete mods list?

Have you tried running full time open loop?

Info sent. Compressor cover sealed, no boost leaks now, resistor box bypassed. I'm trying e-85 today to see if it helps *sigh*

e-85 yielded no better results. The AFR even on e-85 after idling 9 minutes (yes the ecu was reset) was in the 11's with scaling set down to 1397. How is that even possible? All trims still read at .1008 and the o2 trim was 5.194.

He's thinking now it is the injectors...any other ideas?

I haven't read any threads re: a bad set from FIC...yes they were purchased new and when I went to e-85 I ran about 1/4 a gallon of e-85 through to flush the system of 93.

Also keep in mind that my car will not idle with JohnBradley's latency settings so I'm using my original settings for right now.

Here is a link to my rom and log file of my e-85 idle for anyone who wants to see it.

Another update -

I put in halfway points (roughly) between JohnBradley's and my original latency values and viola, it's idling closer to stock with AFR's in the high 12's to low 13's on e-85 at 1392 scaling. Getting closer finally
