Knock Then No Knock

ok i am very confused, im logging with evoscan and doing the usual 3rd gear pulls.

i do one run (1-2 counts of knock) so im like okay cool....
TPS was at 100% from 2500-redline.

Second run (10-14 counts of knock!) no timing was adjusted and i was hitting the same loads! but the TPS wasnt as high 100% 4500-redline

is there something wrong? both pulls were done back to back with nothing changed to the ecu.

same load points? Sounds like you need to clean up timing.

80 spiking 162@3400 RPM going down to 130, i just dont know why one pull would be fine then the next its all hell. 162@3400 had the highest count of knock.

I also had this problem and I've pretty much got it fixed. All I have been doing is making the degree difference closer between cells so that it doesn't have big jump changes in timing (smooth out the timing in the problem areas)

Yeah you could easily be surfing to neighboring cells in the map. Also if you are doing back to back runs you could have heat soaked your intercooler.

No telling without a wideband. It could be overly rich or lean induced knock.
also your 162 load is low not sure what is going on there. What are you using to log?

Unless you are overly rich or lean, I would suspect a timing issue before fueling.

Could be stock boost to explain the redline part? Remember that it tapers down to something like 12 psi at redline. When I was on the factory maf and tapered to 21psi at redline it was around 200-210 load...
