Every car uses different WGDC amounts, so each ECU boost system has to be tuned for each car. You cant just use someone else's settings..

This.

That being said, with my grimmspeed 3-port I run roughly 65%WGDC at 3.5k, tappering slowly up to 68 by 6k, then up to 71% at 7k for a similar boost curve to what you're talking about.

Just to drive home the point here and back up what has already been said... I'm also on a Grimmspeed and I run about 62% WGDC through the whole rev range which has me peaking around 28psi at 4k, tapering to about 23 psi at 7K. So yeah, it's definitely different for each car and set-up.

I didn't plan on using someone's settings. I know better than to do that. I just wanted to get an idea.

I'm still slightly confused by the BEC tables for PSI based control. What should the values be? My default values were all 14.5? seems strange.

Can anyone post some more examples of there boost control tables?

BEC is the error correction table, and the values shouldn't all be 14.5. You sure you had the right table?

Yeah, it was strange....
OK read carefully please as I don't want to confuse you lol
...cause here is the deal, I spend like 3 hours today dialing in my WGDC table to get this curve. 28psi max without direct boost control (my correction in my logs is 0, all 100% WGDC)
This is a 3rd gear pull btw, 4th gear holds more boost up top.

Than I came across this thread and looking at the two previous posts about the tables I was like WTF? my BEC is all 14.5... so I started to change some tables and this is what I currently have, not uploaded yet..... basically used some of the values from the other posted tables. My boost adder is basically 14.7+10= 24.7, and than my PSI table is setup to run 28psi. My WGDC table should be very very close I would think as I spent a while on it today.

Let me know what you think.... am I on the right track here?

Joe, I would set your low-rpm BDE tables to the max boost you want to run. Otherwise if your turbo spools faster than what you have there, it'll start dropping WGDC, which you obviously don't want during spoolup.

Also, on my car I set max upward correction to 0 across the board to keep from seeing small boost spikes as the turbo finishes spooling and you're just under your target.

My 2¢!

Cool man, thanks for your input.... my BDE was set from logs of my pulls ... basically matches my spool almost, the table is slightly higher than my spool.. but your advice wouldn't hurt. Thanks for the input.

can anyone adivse if PSI/Boost Error is MAP dependant?

Reason i ask is cause i have found 3 EvoScan formulas for Boost Error here and not sure which one is correct?

From the direct boost thread, mrfred has the formula as 0.0241*x-3.087. Thats from 2007. But then in the below thread from 2011 there are an additional 2 formulas.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...a-evoscan.html

whats the correct one?

cheers

I would imagine so Fadee.
Different size map sensors produce different output voltages at each boost level.

i guess my next question is...

what is the PSI Error formula for a GM 3bar MAP sensor?

OR

how can i determine what the formula would be?

cheers
