I tried cutting it and the code came back right away.

 

ok well your ONLY meant to cut that wire IF your using altmap master mode 4 (Resistor ADC)...

reconnect the wire, and clear the code... it shouldn't come back...

 

LOL, I cut it in the first place because I was trying to make it go away.

 

ok now that you have cut it - can you try running altmap master = 4 and see if it comes back (after you clear it)

if thats ok, then reconnect the wire and switch back to altmap master = 2 (cruise control)

 

I will once I get access to a cable. Unfortunately I wasn't the person who put this on the ecu. I am going to give the resistor a shot tomorrow and see what happens...

 

if your NOT using Resistor ADC mode (altmap master = 4) then just reconnect the wire... its probably better your ECU knows what the fuel tank temperature is.

the 250ohm resistor will be too LOW anyways, you should be using 5k...

but reconnect it and then go from there

 

I was checking the wiring when I saw Tephra's post... no lines from C130 connector to the ECU. Had to build the harness. It's now working for turning the cruise control on/off and switching between maps but the cruise control itself is not working.

Any thoughts?

Code is probably not in your ROM. Or it's disabled.

 

there might be a pbit or something to enable cruise...

ill have a look when i can

 

While rechecking there seems to be no line from the brake pedal to the ECU. Will check on that and keep you guys posted.

Tested, map switching works. Only problem is the 2010 RA physically has no IC spray icon to blink when on alt map.

(The RA has a different cluster then the Evo)
