quick update to say that 9 altmaps is pretty close to being working.

i have the cruise/tps swapping between 9 maps and showing it using the tacho..

pretty cool - even if I do say so myself..

now I just have to do the tedious task of mapping the 9 altmaps onto ROM space...

its tedious because its easy to make a mistake :|

Quick thoughts on doing MIVEC altmaps?

(for the MR dudes I will be doing min timing altmap)

Oh yeh, this version (V2) will be compatible with my upcoming live tuning software (where you will be able to change timing/fuel/activewgdc/mivecs in REALTIME... oh yeh baby!)

Any chance of adding MAF scaling to live tuning? Maf calibrations on a dyno with this would be stupid fast, just like doing a Subaru with Cobb.

Nice idea that, 9 maps on the cruise control with a gauge showing you what is going on Much nicer using a gauge than flashing lights isn't it?

Yeh - I had been planing to use the tacho for a while, just didn't have the motivation to find the code for it

I think my implementation is a bit different than yours, mine you hold the CC ON/OFF button and that will "enable" switching, up/down/tps will increment/decrement the map count... If you dont hit anything for a while it will set it in stone...

 

ok so how important is having gear based MIVEC control?

do you want full gear control, ie 1/2/3/4/5/6 maps?

or just high/low with customizable crossover (like boost)

me personally probably wouldn't use it, but then I don't have an FPRed
