That was my thought, I am not sure of the current, I'd guess mA's though.

And if that is the case, mA's at what, 5v? It's not a lot of power at all. There won't be a difference between the 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2w, just get the biggest to be safe.

Ok I have decided to go with the EBC Solenoid for my snow stage 2 Meth kit. I am thinking of still using the TephraXMOD V1 for a fuel economy map and my meth tune map. I am guessing I could just use the cruise control set up. What do you guys think? Would the method of killing power to your EBC be enough to save the car in the event of meth injection failure? Or would running the relay plus TephraXMOD V1 be the safest route? I wish the multi map mod was done lol

Optional: #30200 EBC Relay
Part #30100 provides a solenoid to be used with the SafeInjection®
system for turbo vehicles equipped with an after market boost control
devise. In the event the SafeInjection® activates, the solenoid will
open, allowing full boost pressure to the turbo waste gates. This will
limit the maximum boost pressure of the engine to that set by the
waste gate springs.

If setup properly the tephraxmod v1 is safer than just a EBC cutoff..

You can run both thou, have 2 3ports - one controlled by the ECU/tephraxmod and the other controlled by the meth kit..

That way you have double safety..

Just wire the meth kit to the ECU and enable meth failsafe switching...

tephra, got a quick question. As for the knock CEL, does the high knock CEL overwrite the low knock CEL? What I am asking is if the engine gets low knock and gets high knock right after, will the CEL flash slow for the low knock or would it switch to faster flash for the high knock? I have my CEL flash time set to 5 seconds so I can see the flashing after I go WOT.

Thanks, I'll log and see how the CEL reacts when both knocks are detected.

I was adjusting some maps and doing a lot of logging the other day. I confirmed that the high knock CEL does override the low knock CEL

yea i do see quite a bit of the knock CEL. especially at partial throttle in 3rd and 4th gear.

but i dont want any knock, at all. 1 knock sum may not be bad, but its every time i go through the gears. and i even cut all my ignition timing in half and it was still knocking. i just dont know how to get rid of it.
