can you do me a favor and explain in kind of detail how the dual map switching works on v7 with the TPS and the intercooler switch? and which one do you prefer to use? Im going to make a dual map for my e85 since during the day the a/f is to rich vs night. Basically what I need to know is how do i know when it switches over? and how many seconds or % does tps need held etc.

Thanks

well maybe not then. My other cable gets very hot as soon as i plug it in and turn on car, but it still datalogs. Maybe its the style of cable it is that makes it run hotter. My new cable I had didnt get hot, but was extremely annoying blinking the anti lock light at stops.

Well with the TPS switch you'll know it activated because the CEL will flash for a long period of time once its activated, about 10 seconds by default. The car simply has to be on but not started. Hold down the throttle to maximum for 3 seconds and the light should start flashing indicating it switched.

The ICS switch you just hold auto for 1.5 seconds and its switches as long as the engine load is below 100, or whatever you set it to. It should be easy to confirm if you have a wideband sensor. You can also set the ICS light to flash momentarily while the Alt map is on which i do personally. Its a pretty slow flash speed say once every 5-10 seconds per flash.

I prefer the ICS switch because its easier for me to do.

Yeah mine is one of the newer 1.3's that causes the ABS and ACD lights to flash. Sometimes it gets hot sometimes it doesn't. If it does, it usually takes mine a while to get hot though.
