2-step timing figures
2-step timing figures
Hey guy can you state your timing figures in you 2-step zone of your maps and how much boost do you generate. Is there a damaging affect of too much retard? What determines the amount of timing you use?
AFAIK lower timing = more boost.

Thanks for the help. While reading i noticed some guys are able to add fuel to the zone of the 2-step but I thought that the 2-step completely cuts fuel. Im very confused now. Is this due to the Tephra V7 upgrade?
I may be mistaken with this, but AFAIK 2-step alternates between fueling and not fueling very rapidly to keep the RPM at the rev-limiter. Adding fuel helps lower EGT's and helps spool the turbo.
What V7 allows you to have is completely seperate launch maps, so you can have very aggressive launch settings that will never your car during driving because they are only used during 2-step.

I think my ROM is the V5 tephra (might be wrong) but no matter how much fuel I add in that zone it gets no richer on my wideband. It reads full lean on my AEM. I also have "Alternate Maps" in my tephra mods but not "Launch Maps" . If this makes the difference
My wideband also reads full lean during 2-step. Alt maps aren't the same as launch maps, if that's what you're wondering.
My knowledge is still fairly limited, might need someone with more experience to step in to help you out.

Yes Hope the Gurus offer some info. If your wideband too reads full lean that means that you cant be able to add fuel , not so? Or should I still richen that area in the map?

I noticed having it retard to much will build way to much boost at -14 I was building around 17 psi at 6,500 rpms which is trouble..I set it at -6 and it build 13 psi .I still have to mess with it cause Im trying to get it to shoot flames all im getting is loud nice pops but no flames..Any thoughts on how much fuel to put in the get it?

Do you have the V7 Tephra mods using the launch maps too?
