Ultimate Alt Maps
Yes, I think high/low is the best way.
Would there be an advantage to have high/low for timing?
High / Low sounds good to me. Would it just use the same speed crossover point as the other tables?
I meant to imply this before, but I would personally prefer if we could keep the settings different. I really only want different MIVEC for my cruising gear, but obviously I want boost to be switchable 1-2 and 3-5. Ideally each gear would be tunable if it were up to me, but I'm one of the guys who likes to have really low settings at peak TQ in 5th gear for when other people with a heavy foot drive my car.
ALS would be cool, and if people want to blow up their turbo with it more power to them. Beyond a quick disclaimer (which really shouldn't even be necessary, if people want to try things without reading about them there are 1000 ways to blow up your car) it is up to the end user. In the end, I'm meh about it if it delays anything else... but I'm guessing it would helpful to some of our rally guys.
NLTS is a really nice feature, I'm not gonna lie... but the faux NLTS should work ok for most 1/4 mile guys... the only problem is that you cannot do a distinct setting for launch and drop RPM.

I didn't see lower bound ignition on the first post, though I recall you mentioning adding it in another thread. Is it going to make the list?
Are you going to do any cool safety features.... like valet mode or AFR safety (like you have for the 8 & 9's). With our ****ty fuel pump relays i think that would be nice for the daily drivers. I have a buddy that took his wife to the hospital when they were having their first baby and the hospital had valet parking. When he came out about 6 hours later (she was in labor for 30 hours) to go get them some food, he was leaking anti-freeze. When he popped his hood, his engine was hotter than hell and a coolant line popped off. The valet guys took his car for some joy rides.

There will be 10 total maps. I'm pretty sure you could make one a valet map. Another could be made into a "won't start" type map.

yeh it's done and working...
0rpm = normal maps
1-9 = 8 altmaps
flashing ICS = methsafe map
the good thing now is you can run meth and have 8 altmaps - if you want..
meth overrides everything - so if you have meth on it will run the methsafe maps (unless there is a failsafe event - in which case it will drop to the normal maps)
when meth is off you can toggle around the altmaps...
yeh its pretty awesome
