wideband question

hey all, just a quick question
Im trying to start/learn tuning my car with ecuflash.
I have installed uego to the downpipe but didn't connect the wires yet.
Ive read something on the forum that you can connect your wideband to directly work with ecu flash? Is this necessary in order to work with ecuflahs, or can i just install it the regular way?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks,

Your wideband is logged through Evoscan, which is a datalogging program. Through the information gathered in Evoscan you are then able to adjust your fuel/timing tables in Ecuflash. That's the very basis of it.

dont run your car without the wideband having any power or you will ruin the sensor

You will also have to make add a rs232 connector to the uego to be able to hook it up to your laptop and datalog it. You could also connect it straight to the ECU and datalog your wideband through your tactrix cable. There is a thread on it, so go here to read up on how to do it:
