als not working on my friends jdm e7
als not working on my friends jdm e7
Hello, I patched the original jdm e7 ecu originally withthe 90040008 I believe with the ignition retard to -20 capability and it already has the als paraters but they appear blue with no success..I then flashed the ecu with the tephra v5.1 rom 90550010 and also it didn't work...
Anybody chime in here?

as I remember JDM 7 doesn't have clutch switch. that's why als isn't working. neither would work stationary rev limit, cuz both of them are triggered by clutch switch signal + tps

So from where to get to get the switch?
any brake pedal switch from mitsu would work, install it on clutch pedal and wire it to corresponding ecu pin (if VII ecu has one)
on usdm VIII it is pin43
on usdm VIII it is pin43

On the JDM Evo 7 ALS doesnt work very well unless you get rid of the EGR. It will also throw the EGR code and CEL. Just disable the CEL code in the pheriphy bits
The stationary rev limiter aka launch control does not need a clutch switch it use the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)
NLTS does not work on most JDM Evo 7, it brings on what feels like a fuel cut at the desired NLTS rpm.
Maximum timing retard is -10
PM me if you are after a rom to suit, ive tuned plenty of them here in NZ with great results
