I'm lost. Bit 11 in a v7 rom says 0= egr test disable and in a 88590015 bit 11 says 1= disable egr ign advance.

Which meaning is correct and obviously I need to enable the egr advance and have it 0. But was the egr test ever enabled from the factory?

 

EGR test is enabled from the factory. It has nothing to do with the EGR control system though. It only performs a test under certain conditions. Whatever bit you have listed to disable EGR ign advance is at least partially wrong. There is a separate setting different than the perphery bits that is used for enabling/disabling the EGR control system. If you search, you should be able to find it.

 

Ok that's what I was wondering because in the svn downloaded rom its "0" as well as my v7 roms, and all my attempts at tuning before I removed the egr system
. Ill have a search shortly for the egr thread as I know that covers most of it.

Do we know if this just slams your cruise at once with the egr advance or does it work it in. I see a reference to Subaru timing above but even They have tables to signify how big the flkc advance is.

Not saying its a bad thing to just add it in, looking to understand what I'm accomplishing better. I'm about to switch back to 8859 from the audm rom.
