Newbie Knock Question
Hi all any help would be appreciated.
Just a few questions,
what is the acceptable knock count using evoscan v2.7.0090??
At what knock count will the ecu switch to the low octane maps???
Thanks
Bob

As the ECU detects knock the octane flag gradually lowers. The octane flag starts at 100, at which point the car is running 100% on the high octane map. Above a certain knock threshold (7 if I'm not mistaken), the ECU gradually starts lowering the octane flag. When the value drops to say 80, the ECU will interpolate 80% from the high octane map and 20% from the low octane map.
For a finished tune I'd say up to 2-3 counts on occasion isn't too bad, but obviously the less knock the better.
