ECU flash doesn't recognize ROM

Picked up my open port 1.3 cable. I read my ECU in evoscan. When I try to read the hex file into ecu flash 1.3 or 1.42 it doesn't recognize the file.

Any suggestions?

Post the rom file here and someone (me) will take a look.

Is there a reason for using evoscan to read the rom instead of ecuflash?

most likely you dont have the XML file for that particular rom on your computer in Program
Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo

This might work. Try to open the file and use the option for developers only, inherit the evo 9 base definition then add all your details that you can (you might not know a couple of them). Then hit finish and look at the rom info provided. Look at the internal Id and that should be the XML you are missing. Then search or ask for the XML file on here.

I am going through exactly what you are right now. And this got me a bit further, I just wasn't able to get the complete XML file I needed.

When you get the XML file you need to go into openecu/rommetadata/Mitsubishi/evo (i think that's the location, at work on iPhone sorry) and put the XML file in there.

If you can work out the rom id yourself, there are a large amount of ecuflash XML files at http://code.google.com/p/ecurom/sour...tsubishi%2Fevo
