RAX Patch - ROM patches
this is normal for windows, because each different usb port in your pc stores separate drivers, so you plugged it into another usb port on the same laptop that you haven't used before with that cable.
Yeah I understand that, but my laptop only has 2 USB ports (same side, right next to each other) and I haven't reinstalled windows in over a year on it. I know it's been plugged into both of the USB ports previously.

I flashed my first decent version of RAX Fast Logging in my ROM revision #440. I'm now on revision #487. All up, 47-odd flashes. Around 20 for the patch development phase, and 27 more for reworking my CalFuelMap, HO Fuel Map, boost, MAP/MAFCalcs, load ramp rates, throttle thingy, track testing, etc.
So, as usual, I've beaten the living **** out of my ECU, SST, tyres, Tactrix and laptop. On my setup, no hint of wackness to date.

56890013 / 1.43.3252 / 2.9.0023 / RAX / ES+EF never open together solid 5+ flashes and 1 flash on the newest ecu flash (1.44.3719) I always have wifi disabled and nothing else open I run ecu flash do a test write then an actual write with out turning the ignition off inbetween ....
Granted the data set is small but everyone with a issue seems to have both programs open at the same time

a new version of ecuflash was available (1.44.3719).
it lists a lot of changes. the most noticeable is a more consolidated method of rommetadata xml definitions. i haven't tested flashing with this version yet.

Well, I'm closing the book on any supposed weirdness with flashing, RAX, EvoScan+EcuFlash being open together, etc.
We've given this thing enough time for any pattern to emerge. Plenty of updates received (thanks), and there is no pattern. It was just a cluster of various "things" happening... not related to any one issue at all.
Which is good.
Enjoy RAX!
