another image from todays testing... this template is for an in-car 10inch 1280x800 resolution android touchscreen currently sell with pre-built openport USB drivers and Google Car software. I will provide instructions with the software for those with root access on android phones, and tablet PCs how to install your own FTDI USB drivers to run with EvoScan4Android and the OpenPort cables.

Im still in for beta tesing, need to know connection. I have froto loaded on a solid state computer in my evo... I can use straight usb just like in windows. SEND ME THE APP!!!

I know its end of June, where has it gone I started building a new Android CAN adapter, and I am moving house this weekend. I'll send some PMs today, see if we can get some more beta testing going with the current version.. Android has many complexities, many versions. many root and non-root, many firmware, many screen resolutions and many hardware... Android hasn't really solved any problems in technology that the same old EvoScan GPSNav had when using Microsoft Windows Mobile. Just feels like groundhog day, haha. Once its ready, I will put up an evoscan4android version that will work with 90% of android rooted hardware. the other 10% can probably buy a custom built EvoScan Android Jelly Bean Double DIN stereo

 

Evoscan on Android will only work on rooted phones?
