The main thing is to confirm what cables we need. I have an S3 if that helps with testing?

Bump to show interest in this.. this would be huge if you could get it released!

Interested to see how this would work with a Nexus 7. Currently have a rooted Galaxy Nexus right now.

Good stuff

yeah still working on it this weekend, made it so the user can browse or take photos for the background image.

Yeah I'll make sure it works on the Nexus7 for sure, they are very common.

I just got a 1G GSX and ive been researching ECU options for a couple weeks now. I was already leaning towards the EVO 8 ECU because its 15 years newer, OBD-II compliant and EvoScan! DSMLink only supports 1Gs and 2Gs and Jackal/Werewolf only supports 1Gs. BUT EvoScan is still blossoming and its supporting more and more OBD-II cars! and now THIS!?

With EvoScan I dont have to fear that one day the site will just disappear.

Plus I had this project in mind to install a custom-built-trouchscreen-car-PC and either run Android or Ubuntu! the customize-ability of EvoScan 4 Android is AWESOME! Wouldnt it be cool if you replaced your gauge cluster with a LCD?

Good to hear its still coming along. But I couldnt care less what the background looks like. Id just love to not have to drag the laptop around.

I was curious will existing EvoScan licenses be supported or will EvoScan Android be sold separately?

You really think he is spending all this time writing software to give it away for free? Think again...

With that said, take my money now and give me the beta !!!

You can get Torque Pro for $5. It has a lot of the same features, customizeable graphics/layout, datalogging plus you can upload live data to a webserver.

What would really set EvoScan Android apart is the ability to flash/tune with it.

He could charge like $5 for the app which just has datalogging enabled and then maybe use the $20 EvoScan License to enable flashing/tuning.

You thought about this more deeply than I, lol. Good ideas though.

You can you datalog with torque pro? Does it cover knock, timing, load, wgdc, ltft, mivec etc?

And if you can tune and flash with this app then I would fully expect to pay a good deal of money for it. But incorporating that much ability in the mobile app... I just don't see happening atm.

It looks like EvoScan Android is based on EvoScanPPC (GPSNav) which does have ECUFlash. I think it WILL support flashing/tuning!!!
