Up shifting jerk 1st to 2nd normal driving
So I've searched and read about the evo's jerking when up shifting from 1st to 2nd. Most of them say it's the driver not rev matching or dumping the clutch. Although it could be that, can it be ignition timing too?
I notice my timing goes from 40 to 50 when shifting/engaging clutch. I don't even have 50 on my map. Then when clutch is released and mildly accelerating in 2nd it timing drops to 32 (also not on my map at that load, s/b 42). It jerks worse if I'm aggressive. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the jerking. I've tried being smooth and this helps with rev matching, but it's definitely not like any street car I've driven (last car 240sx). BTW, I've been driving the evo for 3+ years. Just want to have a smoother 1-2 shift. Also, it's really smooth with NLTS
, but that's kind of a cop attention getter.
Here's a pic of my log:

I turned off the Enable Warmup Ign Retard and it drives so much better when cold. This 1-2 shift would jerk the most when cold. Now it is so much smoother!!!

Did Applaud's Poor Cold Idle Fix minus the Enable Warmup Ign Retard. It seems to let the car idle on cold days without having to warm up with throttle being feathered as much. I still have to a little, but much better. It's also not as jerky when driving in 1st and shifting into 2nd.
