evo 8 ecu in new talon build question
evo 8 ecu in new talon build question
Hey all,
Just got my 95 talon tsi awd running(turned the car on for a few seconds
) on a mostly untouched tephramod v7 map(disabled rear o2), I've been playing around with ecuflash and evoscan with a couple of my buddy's evos and what not, but I'm not exactly sure where to start changing with my map. I've read lots of the tutorials and videos and am getting familiar with the programs(and enjoying it too).
It's a fresh build, with the following mods:
evo9 pistons
evo8 injectors
evo8 maf
evo8 ecu
aem uego hooked up directly to ecu for logging
intake and full exhaust
bolt on pte scm5027e
I'm want to start driving around tomorrow but not sure if it's safe to use the stock evo 8 basemap, but I'm only planning on staying at stock wastegate pressure(7-8 psi).
Is there somewhere I should start out with, logging wise and what to look for? Would I need to change any of the settings with the maf or injectors considering I'm using evo parts?
I just want to be able to break my engine in safely and be able to drive the car around without any troubles.
Any insight and help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Although you are using evo components, I would think with the VE of the engine being different will skew things a bit. I would pull timing and richen up the map before you get into positive manifold pressure at all. See how she does cruising ect. and log, log, log, then log some more. Start with AFR, RPM, Timing, knock sum/voltage, boost.
Good luck!
Good luck!
