Help with start up tune for new engine.

I have a new 2.3 with kelford 272 cams, fp red turbo, 1200cc injectors, that I just finished putting together, and I was hoping some one could set me up with a good starting point for my tune, It starts and runs ruff now, Im not sure what my AFR is yet because I had the exhaust unbolted from the cat flange and my WB02 is right there so it was reading lean. Once I bolted the rest of the exhaust on it wont restart. Im thinking its something in the warm up or pulse with settings but Ive not screwed with and evo before and Im use to SD tuning on simpler systems. Anyway I just want to get it to run well enouph so I can drive around and street tune before taking it to they dyno, no need to wast money to just get it close, and pay for a tow. Anyway Im in the east bay in nor cal if anyone is local and can help me out it would be much appreciated. Also whats the best dyno to go to around here for evos?

Did you change your inj scaling and latencies? if it's correct or at least close, it should start and run even with a stock map. is everything plugged in? frnt 02?

Yes to all, it does run but really lean, 19:1 unless I rev it then the best I get is about 17:1

Is your fuel pressure regulator well connected?
Check all engine hardware first, make your check list and if everything is ok then retake your check list point by point verifying ECU settings are right for each one.
Good luck.

Interestingly enouph it fires and runs on the stock tune with stock injector scaling. And is lean, but if you tip into the throttle at all it gets rich.

That's weird, it should be pig rich with the stock scaling. Did you also use the stock latencies when you tried this? If so that could account for the lean idle?...

if you went from a 2.0 to a 2.3 on SD, you may have to mess with the VE tables. Just add values in at low rpm/airflow and see if that helps. Maybe search around the site and try some different scalings/latencies for your inj to get you in the ballpark, then go from there.

If there is a way to put the maf on it temporarily, it would probably be a bit easier to dial in the injectors before having to worry about VE tables.

I have the latencys for these injectors already, I took them out of my race car. But when I enter them or change anything it seems that it won't run. I'm not using SD for this car, the maf is on.

Also I have read the thread and have my wideband wired to the rear 02 but I can't figure out how to get EVO.scan to calculate my wideband voltage to AFR so I am only showing voltage in EVO scan. I know the how to thread says to change the mut table but I can't find it how do I.get there to change the value?

Just incase anyone is lame like me and cant get the afr to show in evoscan, here is a list of AFR by voltage for a LC-1.

0.00v = 7.35 : 1 = RICH
0.25v = 8.10 : 1 = RICH
0.50v = 8.86 : 1 = RICH
0.75v = 9.61 : 1 = RICH
1.00v = 10.36:1 = RICH
1.25v = 11.11:1 = RICH
1.50v = 11.87:1 = RICH
1.75v = 12.62:1 = RICH
2.00v = 13.37:1 = RICH
2.25v = 14.12:1 = RICH
2.50v = 14.88:1 = LEAN
2.75v = 15.63:1 = LEAN
3.00v = 16.38:1 = LEAN
3.25v = 17.13:1 = LEAN
3.50v = 17.89:1 = LEAN
3.75v = 18.64:1 = LEAN
4.00v = 19.39:1 = LEAN
4.25v = 20.14:1 = LEAN
4.50v = 20.90:1 = LEAN
4.75v = 21.65:1 = LEAN
5.00v = 22.40:1 = LEAN

That is normal.
IPW is too short at idle to make big diference, specialy with bad latencies.
Have you tried stock tune with your injectors scaling and latencies updated?

Getting my AFRs sorted out is not my biggest problem right now, its hot starts. right now the car starts fine but if its hot forget about it. Bump starts just fine though. I think TScompusa is going to help me out.
