A properly functioning injector doesn't 'leak' fuel when it's shut off. Are yours leaking and damaged? If so, fix your broken parts instead of trying to manipulate the ECU settings.

Do some of the 1450's have this same problem? I think mine are leaking because my car sucks the gas, though I know 1450's are pretty big I know people running 2250's that get better gas mileage than me.

I also think mine are.. Does your car have an irregular idle issue?

Do you have any facts to back this up? Just curious because tons of claims on this forum about "leaking" injectors... including mrfred's. My injectors were purchased brand new so I doubt they're damaged. Tons of people have this problem with FIC1050s and PTE1200s. I guess I could contact PTE about it...

When I was working with FIC on this, he said that he would see a very small drop of fuel accummulate on the tip of an injector. "Damaged" isn't an accurate description, at least for the FIC1050s. Many aftermarket injectors are made by modifying a smaller injector to flow more. The modification process does not always produce a leak-free injector.

That explains why some leak and some are perfectly fine. Great info. Like I said, I've gotten used to my injector "issue" and just give the car a little throttle when doing a warm start.

Yes I occasionally have an idle issue. The car will go lean and idle rough, if I rap the throttle it goes away. It happens sporadically.

I am guessing that maybe the car is trim fuel out because of the leaky injectors.....

Probably not. The leakage is incredibly miniscule. In my experience, a cone filter exposed to the hot air in the engine bay contributes to poor idle. Some intake pipes that do not work with the factory MAF scaling also contribute.

Is this fuel leak enough to leak past the cylinders and into the oil pan? I have this warm start issue too, but my oil analysis do not indicate any abnormal fuel in the oil.

was observed on oem intake car with stock air filter element, still same problem. so probably all fic 1050s are faulty and shouldn't be used in this application.

Never happened in the last 3 years with this same intake...

Its more just fuel vapor trapped in the cylinders than actual fuel. If you turn the ignition on but don't start the car, if you watch your WB it'll richen up slowly about .5-.4 afrs than slowly lean out after the vapors evacuate.

ive been going through this issue for a few weeks now, I have the FIC BLUMAX 1250s and i swapped them with a friends 1450s and I am having the same issues. Next step is to throw the stock injectors back in and see if that fixes my issue.

this is getting old

agreed......

getting super ****ing old. Im so tired of this ****. I just want my car to start and idle well thats all.

According to MrFred, FIC knowingly sells people leaky injectors. GREAT

I'll be calling them for my money back.
