The 1st gear shift limit on the RA still eludes me. The more power you make the worse it gets.
I have found that limiting boost in 1st using the boost tables and even using the 1st gear TPS table to start reducing throttle towards the higher RPM helps with this.
It's faster for the car to actually shift well into 2nd then to run full power in 1st and not have it shift.

So we have AWDralliart09's car here today to finish up the racegas tune. The car made 380whp with an EF2 last time it was here. The actuator will not run less than 24psi so the boost limit in 1st isnt an option right now. However I added all the TPS limiter for 1st gear, the torque exceedance, etc. and will drop the TPS down 25% or so. Peak power is at 7800 so I am thinking from 7k up maybe?
Any specific numbers you found to be helpful on your RA400?
thanks
Aaron

If you start at 7k it won't give it enough time.

Hi there
Maybe someone can help:
I had my X MR tuned with stock turbo, 100-cell cat, catback and id worked really fine. i never experianced clutch slip and the shifts in all gears were quick and smooth.
Then we upgraded to a HKS 7460 KAI and to make sure we would get the power to the box an 500hp rated clutch pack which was exactly instaled as the seller told to. After that shifts were hard from 2-3 / 4-5 and smooth (too smooth) 1-2 7 3-4 / 5-6. Also at WOT acceleration from a stand it would have mostly a dip from 1-2 in auto or manual. After we tried different things and didnt get to an acceptable result we went back and installed a new original clutch-pack.
After that, the shifts are very quick and smooth again in all gears, auto or manual in normal and sport, a bit rough in s-sport with a little dip. After altering some torque maps we experianced no clutch slip.
But what we really didnt get to disapear up to now is the huge dip from 1. to 2. gear under fulltrottle acceleration, manual or auto.
The car pulls hard in first but as it shifts up it falls into a big dip of 0.3 - 0.4 seconds, really makes your head go zick-zack... all the following shifts to the higher gears are then great again.
Does anybody know anything about this kind of problem and who to get rid of it?
Thanks a lot!

Current way to make this better is to run less torque in 1st/2nd. Using gear-based TPS and Boost maps is one way of doing this.
At some point I'm sure we will find the direct tables to control this "limit"
Thank you, Bryan!
We will try this.
Could you please give me any idea up to which level of torque in 1st and 2nd this will work, resp by which level of torque the limiter will hit in?
What I realiced last nichgt was that in S-Sport manual mode I have kind of the same effect in every gear-change, while in Auto mode it is just 1-2. Compared to the Sport mode where - exept for 1-2 for sure - have perfect and fast change in auto or manual with a bit of "over-torque" when upshifting giving a nice little power-wave.
Any ideas for that?
Thanks a lot from Switzerland, Andi

Im buying OPenport and software from this site hoping it will help to upload a file to the transmission when I get one, MItsubishi dont have any files available to download for transmission.
If you know other tool that I can use will be great too I have mongosse pasthru dont know if I can use this with evoscan probably not.
Best regards
Wilson

Also - please keep posts in threads on-topic. I've left this one since it is semi-on-topic but it is still pushing the lines. I'd recommend keeping any other replies to this topic in your thread here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-reflash.html
