I ended up speaking with the guy who previously owned the cable. He said it is a earlier generation and will only work with the older versions (go figure id get a useless cable, and not knowing if it was guna work). So I am in desperate need of someone who has a older version of ecuflash and willl send me the install file... maybe 1.3. I am only going to use it to turn off the P0300 test. So now I have to buy a new cable just to fix this lil problem... sux

can someone please??????? PLEASE!!!!! arrrrgh!

I counted all the pins in my USB cable, there are 9 total, including the white connector one and excluding the pins on the USB connector. Does that indicate what kind of cable I have? I found a site where this guy collected all the versions of SW and posted them up for download. If I can figure out what cable I have.. I can zero in on what sw I need and so forth.

 

Hey man, sorry to hear about your trouble. A few questions:

Has your car already been flashed? The only reason I ask is because I had a similar problem where I couldn't pull/read the rom for the life of me. Turns out I was doing it wrong:

My car was running a tephramod v.7 rom, and I needed to download it and place the rom in ecuflash's rom data folder. Is it possible that you may just need to do the same? The link to download the applicable rom is on the tephramod thread of these forums, located
