USB problem with Evoscan
USB problem with Evoscan
Hi all
I'm newbie and not good enough in English.
I use 2001 JDM EVO7 GSR 5MT
My problem is when I click on "Reflash ECU" tab in Evoscan 2.9.0021 and I choose Evo7 ECU type to read and I click on "read from ECU" but it said "USB cable is in use or not connected" , But I'm already connected it, However I'm fine to use OP2.0 with 1.43.3252ECU Flash. I had to read walkthrough for this case problem, They said I need to try to uninstall and restart and install again. I do it already but still got the problem. How should I do?
ps.
I use only once program in the time not open for both.
I use win XP 32bit.
I use latest version of ECU Flash and Evoscan program.

Just read and flash your ecu using Ecuflash, I have never used Evoscan to do this.
One tip: let your car idle for 30-60 seconds before you try reading or flashing your ecu, otherwise it might not work because your battery voltage might be too low.

So.. I can't real time tuning on my EVO7 with an Evoscan right?
I've tried to do a reflash ecu in an evoscan again today, And try all of slot they have such as
OP 1.3X
OP 2..0
MUT3
OBDII 96+
etc.
but still the same .
็Or which way did I can real time tuning with an ECU flash/Evoscan sir?

Real time tuning you can't do, you can do real time logging with Evoscan.
You need to read the rom with Ecuflash and then use Ecuflash to modify the rom.
Adjust values like timing, fuel trims,... and then flash the rom back to the ecu using Ecuflash.
After you flashed your modified rom back to the ecu, you use Evoscan for logging to see what effect the changes you just made have had.
Then just modify your rom again and repeat the whole process.
Are you planning to tune the car yourself? If so read, read and read some more because you could really hurt your car if you don't know what you are doing.
If there are no tuners around where you live I would contact Tom about a email tune.

He is one of the best Evo tuners and he is also the one tuning my car with great results
