hks 7460 Idle issues

hi guys I'm very tempted to try the hks 7460r kai, but I here I may encounter idle issues if used in conjunction with the stock ecu on my 8.

Aparrently at idle due to early spool the turbos air flow is at 50hz and for correct idling needs to be below 40hz.

I don't want to go stand alone ecu, & my ecu is a stock 8 running the tephra 5.1 96260009 rom.

All comments & tips welcomed!!

 

i too have idle issues. I don't know if it the hks turbo or my fueling but my car would drop idle sometimes from a cold start. I would have to catch it and tap the throttle to keep it from dying.

 

A turbo is not gonna cause idle issue, in no way, shape or form.

 

Read up on scaling your maf. Very easy to cure and like boosted said, not the turbo's fault.

You changed the way the car flows air, so the old programming is no longer relevant.

no probs m8 , neither dynoed as yet

 

I run this turbo and also idle issues. They checked everything and came up that this when is on the idle turbo start spooling slightly drawing some air to the intake and offsetting MAS while on the idle

 

Despite being a relatively small turbo + ball bearing, the 7460 won't spool faster than a stock turbo!
