Broken finger cable worth it?
Broken finger cable worth it?
I am having problems with my 2.0 cable and evo scan. Just in the dry way it disconnects ever 20-30 seconds then reconnects.
I have read to use the older 1.3 cable but they don't make them anymore. Do the broken finger ones work for **** or should I just hold out and try to track down an original?

if you need 1.3u cables i sell them also at http://www.tscomptuned.net/tuning.html
scroll to the very bottom. for evo 8/9 1.3 is quicker then 2.0, but you need 2.0 for evo X and so forth.

Do you think the cable is my problem? I get data from the car and my wideband for some time but for no reason it just disconnects. I have used the 2.0 with no problems on some subarus but that's apples and oranges. Due to I use romraider.
cable
Are you connecting the cable directly into the laptop or are you going through a docking station? When I had a carputer in my car I had my 1.3u cable connected to a docking station and it would lose connection.
Best way to test if it's the cable or not is to try it on another evo. If your laptop has shock protection make sure it's turned off so it doesn't stop the hard drive while you are driving.

Its going into a usb on my laptop not a hub. Im an using a tough book I don't think it has that feature I have use the laptop before in other cars with about the same G as an evo so I don't think that's the problem. I have the disconnect problem not moving just sitting.
