I got an updated map from my tuner and my EcuFlash now decided to not flash. This is the message I'm getting:



I checked that the cable works properly in EvoScan.

Any ideas?

 

Is this the first time you have attempted to flash the vehicle with ECUFlash yourself? have you tried doing the re-flash using EvoScan instead? The reason I ask is that I can not write to mine with ECUFlash, only read. I can however write just fine with EvoScan. Instead of fighting with it, I just use ECUFlash editing and reading only. EvoScan I use for logging and re-writing. Just a thought.

Also be sure that nothing else is plugged in to your USB while attempting the write, just to make sure that there is no resource conflict.

 

battery voltage palys a big part aswell. try starting the car for a min and then flash to get the battery voltage up.

Hmm. I will try flashing in EvoScan.

It was weird, as I used ECU Flash to flash the car all last week without any issues. Nothing was plugged into the computer but the 1.3U.

 

Go figure, I got a bad cable. Tested a friend's 1.3U today and it flashed perfect. Tried mine, error.

 

Rotten. Sorry to hear that. But at least you found the problem.

 

Indeed. It's bittersweet. Luckily, I got my cable through a supplier in North America so I don't have to send it back to New Zealand .
