In the quest for my SAS thread, Ive come to the point where I would like something specific to happen when SAS is active (in a sas rom). That change, would be to switch to alt-maps.

My goal is to have timing adjusted in the alt map for on-overrun/als/sas along with fueling being tuned from the alt fuel map.

I have been limited to testing for two reasons. The first is the amount of boost that makes it to the manifold takes the MAP (sd) above where negative timing is. The second is the extremely poor drivability by putting negative timing up in the load ranges that start to acheive the effect I want.

I understand that SAS/als doesnt drive smooth, but a standalone doesnt achieve als by using negative timing in the main timing map. Its separate!

I contacted a couple members on here already, and my approach was to create a new pair of tables. Im feeling that those who will benefit from this can do with no alt maps!

This is a request to do a single rom id as a proof of concept.

Time can be compensated, and details etc etc can be discussed. I want to make proof that this works, and this is a rather big piece. separate timing and fuel for sas.

I think you need to find a circumvent for decel fuel cut timer too . For the ix I'm running an adm rom with sas. More on my set up in a couple weeks..

Do u know of an 8 rom with sas that u can run on your USDM ?

 

I've got a -16 feed line to a 38 mm wastegate and two 1/2 inch lines to each manifold inlet

 

I can get one from Tephra. I just haven't emailed him yet.

Hey Ratsbud, did you try contacting Tephra in regard to this ALS development? Why don't you guys contact him requesting the E8 sas rom for Laramie & mention the ALS rom development issue, he might at least provide us with some good feedback.

Burgers22 was working on switchable sas tables, I did some tests for him using v7 rom on a JDM Evo.

 

I've tried tephra but I don't think he accepts pm's.

I think he did the iscv modification right to get full iscv on decel? Did that work? Anyone document hz?

 

PM'd Burgers. Really hoping that this can happen. I did it last week, I don't know how often he visits. Is there any other MLR based coding guru's that could help?

I really think this is the answer, and Im pretty dedicated to keeping the MAF for the idea of watching airflow.
