EGR solenoids (quick question!!)

hey guys if you no longer have the EGR system can you just remove the solenoids or do you have to leave them plugged in?

They can be removed with proper disabling of the system in the rom

Unplug and clean up the hoses. Patch the ECU if you won't want the code/light.

I removed all the patched the ROM. Haven't had a code once I figured it all out. You will have 3 connectors left unplugged that are on the wiring harness. I taped my shut and together and placed out of the way.

Sorry worded it wrong. I have it turned off via tephra v7. Just asking if you can physically remove the solenoids and leave them unplugged.

Well, OK, yup. same answer. I don't use tephra, but I have the perish stuff that addresses the solenoids and their checks turned off in the ROM. (That's essentially the same thing).

And I have all the solenoids out of the car with all the remaining plugs, that are attached to the wiring harness taped up.

The only one that demanded some understanding was the FPR, and its function, as I was taught, is just for start up. Didn't have a negative impact on my car though.
