94170008 to 94170015 Question
94170008 to 94170015 Question
Greetings,
I tried searching this first because I am sure I am not the first one with this question, however I could not find this particular topic so here is the question:
I am in the process of migrating from ROM version 94170008 to 94170015 on my 2003 Evo 8. I downloaded the ROM file as well as the XML file from the EVOScan website and I am now getting ready to copy all my tuning settings onto the new ROM. I also did a comparison in of ROM in ECUFlash to make sure I do not miss anything that my tuner did.
Ok finally, here is my question: The engine load parameters on the fuel and timing tables are different on my existing ROM version 94170008 vs the new 0015. On ROM version 0008 the parameters increase by 20 from 10 to 300 and on the 0015 ROM the parameters increment by 10 from 10 to 260.
My concern is that when I literally start copying and pasting all my tuning settings from one ROM to another, the values will not be going in the correct engine load cells. Will this be an issue? Is there any way to make the engine load parameters the same on both ROMs?
Thank you for your help!
Alex

Ok, I think I found my answer. I just did not know the correct term for what I am trying to do. It is called "rescaling", in my case the "engine load". And yes, there are a lot of threads about this already. Hopefully this will help someone else in the future
