Question rich between shifts - normal ?

normal driving and normal slow shifts (mainly on vacuum, sometimes on slight boost) afr richens from high 14's to low 13's and sometimes even 12's. after I sift and release clutch pedal, then afr recovers to normal cruising ratio

I would consider it normal if I'd have vta bov, but I have oem metal dv, so is such rich dip still normal between shifts ?

I've noticed this as normal. If you put it in neutral for a few seconds longer it might go to completely lean.

I'm assuming as soon as you engage the clutch the fuel stops spraying, but there is some residual fuel in there causing a rich condition.

Same thing with my car (recirc'ed Synapse BOV before anyone asks). I'm assuming it's just the injectors continuing to spray for a split second after you lift off the throttle. I did toy around with some of the advanced fuel control maps in the past to try and fix it but never really made any solid progress.

I have this problem too. It started after I switched from a Synapse Bov to a crushed metal oem one. I think it has to do with injector lag and the fact the the synapse running recirculated stays open at idle letting in air to lean out the mixture. Now that the Ix diverter valve is in, it stays closed at idle, causing the car to run richer between shifts. I need a retune..lol

I do know that a wideband is supposed to read full lead between shifts.

MAF here and mine does it. I never really noticed it before V7 though it very well could have been there the whole time. I read about it and paid attention one day and yep, goes rich for half a second then full lean. Doesn't seem to bother anything IMO.
