Force Ready Car for State Inspection Question!

I just made the changes on ecuflash since I failed my inspection for "not ready" on a few things, is this how it's supposed to look? With this, I should pass my inspection?

I also disabled the P0139 (0x0 for value here) and P0140 (put 8000 for value here)

After I flashed my car to this map with the changes made to disable P0139 and P0140, I still have a CEL.

I checked the CEL before doing all of these changes and it was P0420.

Do I just need to cycle the car or clear the code with a reader for it to permanently be gone?

Be careful using the forced inspection readiness thingy. In my state (MA) if you enable things that the car doesn't even have you fail and get referred to a government testing center. Also disabling P0140 and P0139 can help you fail. They just turn off the CEL so it masks the problem from you. Best way to handle inspection is to leave anything inspection related stock.

In my state you need to do the following to pass inspection with a modified exhaust system:

1. Make sure the rear O2 is enabled.
2. Make sure P0140 and P0139 are not disabled (so you can see if pop a CEL).
3. Put a vibrant spacer (or any spacer) on the rear O2.
4. Do no use any of the forced readiness patches.
5. Drive for 50-100 miles after making those changes, if no CEL comes up you will then be ready to go for inspection. As long as there's no safety issues with your car you should pass.

I've used forced readiness without giving drive cycles to go through emissions. I wish I knew more about the readiness process - but I can say I had to reinstall my o2 sensor and disconnect my analog outuput from my wideband where I was logging through it previously. I got a error in line at the emissions place, cleared it.... and passed literally a few seconds later. Forced readiness worked for me as long as I didnt have another cel showing.
