Evo 8 ECU Bench test help from code gurus
I'm looking to do some extensive bench testing of fuel injectors using an evo 8 ECU and need to be able to output a specified IPW value to the injector driver circuit. The goal is to attempt to find ideal injector latencies for some of the more popular injectors used. I would be using a stock fuel rail, FPR and resistor pack for bench testing. This would need to be adjustable, ideally through a liveMAP DMA patch if thats possible. If its possible to have a set timer for a certain amount of pulses or at least for a certain amount of seconds, that would be mint.
Anyone interested in helping me with this project?
PM me.

Have you looked in the dma thread? I just picked up a 1.3 cable in favor of my 2.0. Have you toyed with dma at all?
I think there is some injector settings for some roms written in already
Are you just trying to use a live map scaling and latency tables?

I did ages ago but DMA alone isn't the solution. This will be on a bench, not connected to a car. I need to have a simulator or some type of code to make it pulse the injector driver. Since it can do this already with the ACTUATOR TEST, I know it can be done.
What I really would like is a way to select:
-IPW
-Pulse period (on + off interval per pulse)
this can be set to something like 20ms all the time
-Maybe a dedicated timer for 100% duty cycle testing
-Period counter (how many cycles it will run before shutting off)

Here is a web page and a YouTube link to better explain what I'm trying to mimic.
