Tablet for tuning/logging?

My old laptop is starting to show it's age.

Do any of you guys run a windows tablet with Ecuflash/Evoscan?

Looking to spend 300-500 for a replacement.

I'd stick with a laptop. Lots of good used laptops out there for less than $500.

I got an old HP 2133 mini notebook off eBay for $65. It's ridiculously small and perfect for tuning. I upgraded it with 2 gigs of ram and it is flawless for tuning and again its REALLY small and perfect for in car usage.

Picked up the Lenovo yoga 11s. Laptop/tablet. Love it for tuning and logging.

I was under the impression that evoscan and ecuflash would work on a 64 bit system but I could be wrong. If you just reload windows 7 - 32 bit on there and you're set. I've been checking out some HP 2152 laptops as an upgrade to the 2133 I'm currently using. It goes from a 8.9" screen to a 10.1" screen and from a VIA processor to the Intel atom processor. You can find them used on eBay for $100-$150 and they are pretty quick little computers.

What errors are you running into? Its possible you have old versions of the software. 64bit should work fine.

OT. OP lots of cheap laptops out there that can be had for much less than a tablet and more multi-purpose.

That's odd. If you close one and have the other one open do you still get this error? Is only the tactrix cable connected or do you also have a wideband or something else connected at the same time?

Use a dedicated laptop only for evoscan.
Don't use the same laptop to browse the internet too.

Sorry, I forgot to update this thread. I've resurrected my laptop, found that a memory module was bad.

Still having interface/USB issues randomly though... Starting to think I may have a bum OP2.0....

After the tactrix drivers install (j2345 conflict iirc) evoscan will no longer be able to connect.

Is your cable an official tactrix cable or an EvoScan one? I would completely uninstall both EvoScan and ECUflash. Then ensure all the tactrix drivers are uninstalled as well. Then re-install the newest version of ECUFlash and EvoScan.
